The City and County of Swansea has renewed its contract with Aylesford Newsprint ensuring that the area’s recovered paper will continue to be recycled into quality newsprint for use in some of Europe’s top publishing houses.

Mid Devon District Council has re-introduced free recycling to more than 40 Mid Devon schools. Schools within the area are now provided with up to six recycling boxes to collect at least two materials, including paper.
The running costs of the scheme have been offset by recycling credits and the sale of recovered materials, whilst start-up costs, such as the recycling containers, have been sponsored by paper reprocessor, Aylesford Newsprint.

The first stage of the project focuses on households and businesses, whilst the second focuses on levering manufacturers to produce products which can be easily reused or recycled by consumers.
