Redeem partners with Metro media group to help readers generate cash by recycling electronic products
Redeem Plc has announced a new exclusive partnership with free newspaper group Metro to provide Metro’s 3.5 million readers with a chance to generate cash by recycling a wide range of electronic products on the metrorecycles.com website.
Readers now have the chance to recycle multiple products, including mobile phones, satellite navigation systems, MP3 players and digital cameras in exchange for cash. Readers will regularly be encouraged to visit the metrorecycles website to find out how to return products and to establish how much cash they can receive in return for old devices - in some cases paying over £200 for various devices.
Jamie Rae, chief executive of Redeem commented: “This is a significant media partnership for us, and offers a new channel of communication to hundreds of thousands of commuters every day. Redeem now offers a specialised multi-product recycling service and Metro wanted to move beyond traditional mobile phones so it could offer readers even more opportunities to generate cash. The prices that Redeem is offering through Metro are extremely competitive and the dedicated service is guaranteed to be very easy for readers to use.
“In addition to this, as more and more people become concerned about the environmental impacts of landfill, it is important that across the media, and other forms of mass communication, we can encourage everyone to recycle responsibly, and campaigns like this offer just that vehicle.“
