The Daily Mirror launches Mirrorgogreen gadget and phone recycling scheme
The Daily Mirror has launched an online gadget and phone recycling scheme, Mirrorgogreen.co.uk, with ShP Limited. Mirrorgogreen.co.uk aims to help readers become more environmentally responsible by recycling household products such as laptops, digital cameras, sat navs and mobile phones.
Jonathan Bury, head of Commercial Partnerships for Mirror Group Newspapers Digital, said: "This is an exciting launch for us, Mirrorgogreen.co.uk will help to push the Mirror brand forward, giving something back to readers, while also helping the environment. We are delighted to work with ShP limited in this fantastic partnership and be the first national newspaper to launch this type of online recycling website."
Simon Walsh, co founder and owner of ShP limited, said: "It’s fantastic to team up with one of the UK’s leading newspapers. It’s taken a long time to develop the site to ensure its user friendly. This recycling service is the perfect way for gadget consumers to recycle all their old gadgets, help the environment and get cash in return. This service is helping to reduce the UK’s electronic waste and is one of the first in the country to offer multiple product trade-in."
SHP works with charities, network operators and businesses including T-Mobile, Orange, BlackBerry and other leading FTSE organisations.
