Residents in Tonbridge and Malling save over one million trees in 10 years

Aylesford Newsprint is one of only four paper mills based in the UK that manufactures 100% recycled newsprint from recovered newspapers and magazines. Located just outside Maidstone in Kent, the mill is within the Tonbridge and Malling area and so ideally situated to receive the Council’s kerbside collected paper. The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Cllr Sue Murray, recently visited Aylesford Newsprint to mark the 60,000th tonne of paper collected by the Borough’s kerbside green box scheme recycled at the nearby mill. Mobile phone recycling is becoming a major income stream for charities

Recycling has become a major income stream for charities as a leading electronics recycling business donates £3 million from mobile phone recycling campaigns. ShP for Charity hit the £3 million mark in donations to charities after thousands of old phones were handed in by supporters over a five year period.
